Billy the Kid Youth Center

Billy the Kid Youth Center provides a wide range of recreational, social and educational activities for children from 5 years old (and in Kindergarten) to 18 years (must be in high school).

Programs include School-Age Care, leisure skills development classes, special themed events and field trips to area attractions. A 10-week camp for children entering first grade through 12 years old is held in the summer. There are also teen activities that range from a cooking club to physical fitness workouts.

During the school year, the Center offers homework help from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. for youth participants 13 years old and up with a YC membership. They may use computers with an Internet connection, TV/DVD, and video games.

Membership for the Youth Center is free and includes all open recreation activities for those 13 years old and up (membership forms are available at the Youth Center). The Center is operated by Child and Youth Programs. The Center is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and is also a Member Affiliate Organization of Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Sports Programs

Youth Programs offers two sports leagues (T-ball and soccer) and a winter basketball clinic that encourages fun and sportsmanship. A fee is charged for each league and includes a jersey and a trophy which is awarded at the post-league jamboree and awards ceremony.

Volunteer coaches are needed for each league.  Experience is not required but is helpful. The Youth Center staff will train volunteer coaches, as needed.

The site enables families to create a household profile, conduct child care searches, submit requests for care and manage their requests at any time and from any location.

Online payments

Existing CYP customers may log onto https://myffr.navyaims.com/ndwcyms.html  to pay balances, make hourly care reservations, update their CYMS HH and event print tax statements.
